From this screen you can download a hard copy of the Guides to use off-line.
A PDF version which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader for you to be able to view it on your computer. This file can be downloaded for both Macs and PCs.
PDF stands for Portable Document Format. Using the Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can view and print the Internet Development Guides with a PDF file.
If you don't have Acrobat Reader, the first step is to download the Acrobat Reader software and install it on your computer. Adobe allows Acrobat Reader to be freely distributed.
Once Acrobat Reader is installed, you can then use it to read any PDF file, no matter what kind of computer it was created on.
Follow these steps to download and view the acnguide.pdf file:
Step 1. (If Acrobat Reader is already installed on your computer go to Step 2.)
A) For a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here and follow installation instructions.
B) After installation, RESTART your Web browser.
Step 2. Download the PDF file (2Mb).
To download the PDF file, on a PC right mouse click here, and select:
Netscape Navigator "Save Link As"
Microsoft Internet Explorer "Save Target As"
Select a location on your hard disk to save this file.
The PDF file only needs to be saved once.
On a Macintosh, click here to download the file.
Step 3. You can open the saved guides.pdf file outside of your browser by double-clicking on it. You can also choose to print the document for reading off-line by selecting Print from the File menu.
The download time will depend on the speed of your connection. The guides.pdf file is approximately 2Mb in size.
